As the designer of the 'Easy Reader' [portable bookshelf](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/twoinone-billy-model), Moorman has combined in one package a [lounger and bookshelf](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chapters-furniture) that can be [moved from room to room](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/next-mobile-unit) or from indoors to out. Nils Holger Moorman's invention would be perfect for those who occupy large offices and want to share reading material in a fun way. It would certainly be a conversation starter at the water cooler. In reality, the 'Easy Reader' is a shelf that could be used for a variety of housewares. The aesthetic of the piece follows a balancing wheelbarrow crossed with an elegant window-ledge seat. The birch wood lounger can hold quite a bit of weight, so sleeping and daydreaming on the Nils Holger Moorman piece is encouraged. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.2/10 - Popularity: 40% | Activity: 18% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Portable Bookshelves:** The 'Easy Reader' bookshelf combines portability and functionality, offering an opportunity for disruptive innovation in the furniture industry. - **Multifunctional Furniture:** Designs like the 'Easy Reader' that serve multiple purposes present disruptive innovation opportunities in the home decor industry. - **Conversation Starters:** Unique and eye-catching furniture pieces like the 'Easy Reader' can spark disruptive innovation in the office furniture market by creating talking points and fostering collaboration. ### Who This Affects Most - **Furniture:** The 'Easy Reader' bookshelf opens up disruptive innovation opportunities in the furniture industry, where creative designs that combine functionality and aesthetics are highly sought after. - **Home Decor:** The concept of multifunctional furniture, as exemplified by the 'Easy Reader', provides ample disruptive innovation opportunities in the home decor industry by offering practical and space-saving solutions. - **Office Furniture:** In the office furniture sector, unique conversation-starting pieces like the 'Easy Reader' can introduce disruptive innovation by promoting a more engaging and collaborative work environment. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Twisting Donut-Shaped Bookshelves](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hullabaloo-bookshelf.md) - [Sliding Wintery Landscape Bookshelves](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/manhwabang-bookshelf.md) - [Toy Block-Inspired Wooden Bookshelves](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rotating-picture-book.md) - [Personality-Enhancing Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ordo-book.md) - [Tech-Charging Book Holders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/haaase-liesma-bookshelf.md) - [Functional Flat-Packed Stools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/walle-stool.md) - [Dynamic Storage-Display Shelves](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shelf-life.md) - [Minimalist Bookish Shelves](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/minimal-bookshelf.md) - [Architectural Library Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/reading-nooks.md)
