These beautifully handmade boards are not your regular kitchen utensil, and are truly an item to display and showoff to design-savvy friends. With an air of mid-century or Danish design, these boards are certainly kitchen show-stoppers. These cutting boards by Lostine are crafted in Philadelphia and made with Pennsylvania grown sycamore. Each piece comes with a thick leather strap for carrying or hanging in the kitchen, which gives a sophisticated look to the household item, which is often ignored or disregarded. There are currently four styles for sale at [Anthropologie](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/farm-rios) ranging from $128 to $248; more expensive than the generic cutting board, but the craftsmanship and quality are worth the pretty penny. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.4/10 - Popularity: 18% | Activity: 47% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Home](https://www.trendhunter.com/home) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Colorblocked Cutting Boards:** Lostine's colorblocked cutting boards bring a touch of design and style to the kitchen. - **Handmade Kitchen Utensils:** The trend of handmade kitchen utensils offers a unique and artisanal touch to cooking. - **Fashion-inspired Home Design:** The popularity of fashion-inspired home design creates opportunities for unique and stylish kitchen accessories. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Kitchen Utensils:** The kitchen utensil industry can tap into the demand for artisanal and visually appealing products. - **Home Decor:** The home decor industry can explore the integration of fashion-inspired design elements into functional products. - **Artisan Craftsmanship:** The artisan craftsmanship industry can seize the opportunity to create high-quality, handcrafted kitchen accessories. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Multifunctional Kitchen Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/latticeboard-multipurpose-kitchen-board.md) - [High-Quality Birch Kitchenware](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/caraway-2.md) - [Intricate Wooden Serving Boards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wooden-serving-board.md) - [High-Performance Cutting Boards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-steelport-steelcore.md) - [Multifunctional Serving Boards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/convertible-serving-board-trio.md) - [Sustainable Kitchen Gear](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/legni-collection.md) - [Cheese-Shaped Charcuterie Boards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-cheese-block-with-knife.md) - [Hybrid Serving Boards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/viking-acacia.md) - [Artsy Serving Tableware](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ecoresin-accented-cheese-and-charcuterie-serving-boards.md)
