With the world's eyes firmly fixed on the Vancouver Olympics, we shift our attention to the upcoming 2012 London Olympics and one of the shortlisted designs for the [London Aquatic Centre](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dalston-pavilion).

This design for the London Aquatic Centre to be housed in Stratford, East London and comes to us from [Make Architects](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sour-glass). It boasts two sunken pools, a training pool, a sports science facility and a gorgeous, curvaceous lightweight roof.

All we know is that this stunning facility would make an excellent Olympic venue, especially for the much-hyped swimming events. However, if they intend on having this design of the London Aquatic Centre--or any design, for that matter--ready for 2012, they'd better hurry up and break ground!
