Though Olympic athletes are the center of attention when receiving of their medals, the ceremonial presenters must look uniform and presentable in comparison, which is a feat that the newly unveiled London 2012 [medal-presenting apparel](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/eam-usa-limited-capsule) achieves.

The attire boasts simple cuts, seamless patterns and a plum-purple hue. The minimalist suits feature sharp and angled elbow sleeves (which look like something out of 'Transformers'), while the dresses are topped off with a teardrop-fashioned hat (similar to those worn at the Royal Wedding last summer!). This year, the coveted job was given to design students Thomas Crisp and Trine Hav Christensen at the [Royal College of Art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/winter-wonderland-experience), instead of a famed designer.

The overarching look of the podium garments are fashioned in sync with the [Olympic logo](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/milanocortina-medals), giving the globally televised event a uniform, modern tone.
