The chandelier is a crystal spiral with LED lights embedded within the crystals. The LED lights are programmed to allow the owner to scroll messages across the chandelier. It's absolutely gorgious, so I wanted know a bit more. I manage to find a couple of things that were really useful in understanding the evolution of this design. Check out Waldemeyer.com for some great pictures of the construction of this light. I'm affraid I don't know much about Moritz Waldemeyer except that he is a genius at creating LED sculptures. He also as a blog that he started recently which shows what he's up to. He also mentions in his blog that he will be exhibiting at the Rabih Hage Gallery in London, so give them a ring if you want to see a clouple of his works in person. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.2/10 - Popularity: 86% | Activity: 92% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Crystal Chandeliers with Embedded LED Lights:** A trend in the lighting industry, crystal chandeliers with embedded LED lights provide a modern and customizable twist on traditional chandelier designs. - **Interactive Lighting Fixtures:** The rise of interactive lighting fixtures, such as LED chandeliers that allow owners to scroll messages, presents opportunities for designers to blend technology and art in innovative ways. - **LED Sculptures and Installations:** The popularity of LED sculptures, like the works of Moritz Waldemeyer, suggests a growing demand for visually striking and technologically advanced art pieces. ### Who This Affects Most - **Lighting Design:** The lighting design industry can explore disruptive innovation by integrating LED technology into traditional chandelier designs, creating customizable and interactive lighting fixtures. - **Art and Sculpture:** The art and sculpture industry can seize disruptive innovation opportunities by incorporating LED technology, interactive features, and unconventional materials into their creations, captivating audiences with visually stunning and technologically advanced installations. - **Event Decor:** The event decor industry can tap into disruptive innovation by incorporating crystal chandeliers with embedded LED lights, offering unique and customizable lighting options, enhancing the ambience and aesthetic appeal of various events. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Plant-Inspired Dynamic Chandeliers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/blossom-chandelier.md) - [Sculptural Glass Chandeliers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tamar-grande-chandelier.md) - [Sculptural Contemporary Chandeliers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/volant.md) - [Metal-Glass Intuitive Chandeliers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/salsa-chandelier.md) - [Dynamic Hand-Blown Glass Chandeliers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/polaris.md) - [Maximalist Chandelier Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/baccarat-x-harry-nuriev.md) - [Minimal Collaborative Chandeliers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/linea-selva.md) - [Matte White Dynamic Chandeliers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/2097-chandelier.md) - [Jewel-Inspired Chandelier Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pearl-chandelier.md)
