Using a series of photovoltaic panels, the case affords the tablet user the convenience of having a full keyboard to use when typing for extended periods of time, without having to rely on the typically short-lived battery life that accompanies most of these types of accessories. The company claims that one full charge of the case’s NiMh batteries will give the user approximately two years worth of useability, based on an average of two hours per day spent on the device. Along with its battery-enhancing properties, the case also functions as a stand that can be adjusted to various heights dependent the function desired. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.9/10 - Popularity: 48% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Photovoltaic-powered Accessories:** Solar powered device accessories that rely on photovoltaic panels for their power source to offer extended battery life and energy efficient charging. - **Multifunctional Device Cases:** Device cases that offer more than just protection such as stands, keyboards, and built-in accessories. - **Sustainable Device Accessories:** Environmentally friendly device accessories that aim to reduce energy usage and promote sustainable charging solutions. ### Who This Affects Most - **Technology:** Tech companies can adopt the trend of offering sustainable and solar-powered device accessories to enhance user experience and promote sustainable charging solutions. - **Consumer Electronics:** Consumer electronic companies can develop multifunctional device cases that offer more than just protection and enhance the overall user experience. - **Renewable Energy:** Renewable energy companies can leverage their expertise in photovoltaics and offer their technology to device accessory manufacturers as a source of sustainable energy. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Ambient Light-Powered Keyboards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lenovo-800-selfcharging-bluetooth-keyboard.md) - [Solar-Powered TKL Keyboards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/soleil-mechanical-tkl.md) - [Portable Productivity Tablet Keyboards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/logitech-keystogo-2.md) - [Flexible Professional Tablet Cases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/logitech-flip-folio.md) - [Productive Laptop-Like Tablet Cases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/logitech-combo-touch.md) - [Ergonomic Tablet Keyboard Cases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/brydge-105-series-ii.md) - [Productivity-Focused Tablet Accessories](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/type-folio-case.md) - [Folding Solar-Equipped Camping Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ecoeshiner-solar-table.md) - [All-in-One Tablet Keyboards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/skfp-combo-keyboard.md)
