# Forest-Like Storage Containers Add an Outdoor Element to Your Home with a Log Container By Nicole Ballantyne-Choo | Published 2013-08-19 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/log-container References: [fancy](http://fancy.com/things/430467420730163807/Log-Print-Storage-Basket) & [fancy](http://fancy.com/yellowbird) This log container adds a simple yet [rustic outdoor-inspired décor](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/roots-collection-1) to any room. While this mini tree trunk looks heavy and hard, it's actually made out of 100% cotton and has two handles to make carrying it around easier. This extremely cozy storage can be placed in a living room, where guests will believe it's just a nice piece of furniture. The zipper keeps everything secure and hidden, and the woodsy element would look a lot better than a bunch of unorganized bins lying around. Since it's soft, it's also a great place for [kids to store their toys neatly](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/berto-hidden-secrets) in their room. If this log container is filled to the top, it could even be used as an [extra seating](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chunks-and-blocks). ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.6/10 - Popularity: 35% | Activity: 4% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Home](https://www.trendhunter.com/home) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Rustic-inspired Decor:** There is an opportunity for businesses to create products that bring the outdoor elements into interior design. - **Functional Storage Solutions:** Businesses can focus on creating innovative storage options that are not only practical but also aesthetically pleasing. - **Eco-friendly Materials:** There is a growing trend towards using sustainable and eco-friendly materials in home furnishings, providing an opportunity for businesses to develop products that align with this demand. ### Who This Affects Most - **Home Decor:** The home decor industry can explore the use of rustic-inspired design elements to create unique and attractive products. - **Furniture:** Furniture manufacturers can integrate functional storage solutions into their designs to offer customers more versatile and space-saving options. - **Sustainable Products:** By using eco-friendly materials in their products, businesses can tap into the growing market for sustainable and environmentally conscious home furnishings. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Forest-Inspired Wooden Cabinets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hayashi-cabinet.md) - [Whimsical Storage Baskets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mini-mushroom-woven-basket.md) - [Living Storage Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/treevive.md) - [Lightweight Soft-Body Underbed Storage](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/seasonal-storage.md) - [Stylish Oakwood Storage Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moose-cabinet.md) - [Adorable Luxurious Storage Compartments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/luxurious-storage-compartment.md) - [Metallic Multifunctional Storage Boxes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kabine-101.md) - [Felled Tree Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ptacek-home-chunk-line.md) - [Eco Cork Organizers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cork-box.md)
