Thought the open concept space is both urban and contemporary, it is also rustic in its look and feel -- an aesthetic that is achieved with [raw wood framing](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gowanus-loft) and finishes. The residence's eclectic feel is also a result of its homeowner's decor style that blends a stainless steel kitchen with a living area that is accented with a raw wood curio cabinet and exotic blanket textiles. This project by Naruse-Inokuma Architects is a loft home that is larger and more inviting than most urban spaces which can appear too industrial. Blending warm woods and sterile metals, this residence is ideal for urban professionals who are planning to settle down and have a family. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.2/10 - Popularity: 93% | Activity: 86% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Architecture](https://www.trendhunter.com/architecture) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Industrial Loft Homes:** Designing loft homes that blend rustic and modern elements. - **Urban Contemporary Living:** Creating open concept urban living spaces with a contemporary aesthetic. - **Eclectic Interior Design:** Incorporating a mix of materials and styles in interior decor. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Architecture and Interior Design:** Opportunity to create unique and inviting loft homes. - **Real Estate:** Meeting the demand for urban homes that balance industrial and rustic elements. - **Furniture and Home Decor:** Providing eclectic design options for homeowners seeking a blend of styles. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Raw Concrete Industrial Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/house-in-nishizaki.md) - [Converted Industrial Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/1960s-warehouse.md) - [NYC Apartment Renovations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/brooklyn-loft.md) - [Adjustable Japanese Studio Apartments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/building-frame-of-the-house.md) - [Renovated Compact Loft Apartments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vessel-project.md) - [Cave-Like Exposed Concrete Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nakano-house.md) - [Peaceful Wooden-Designed Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hiroo-residence.md) - [Exposed Wooden Beam Lofts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gowanus-loft.md) - [Industrial-Inspired Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/glassbrick-apartment.md)
