This specific model by [Pottery Barn Kids](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pottery-barn-kids-x-lego-collection) takes a fun approach to this concept; the whole loft bed is disguised as a mini cottage, its space below filled with kitchen appliances and toys. This hand-crafted [Cottage Loft Bed](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/watercress-cottage) would be any child's dream bed and toy house. It looks like a storybook cottage from the outside, made of polished wood. It even has a paneled siding with decorative window boxes and an attic window with shutters. Every girl dreams to be independent with her own living space, toys and kitchen. This piece of furniture provides all that, as well as a comfortable place to sleep a few steps up the ladder. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.9/10 - Popularity: 70% | Activity: 68% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 10% men, 90% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Gen Alpha - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Home](https://www.trendhunter.com/home) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Dollhouse-inspired Furniture:** Hand-crafted furniture that doubles as a playhouse disrupts the traditional furniture industry by offering kids a whimsical and interactive way to decorate their rooms. - **Functional Loft Beds:** Loft beds that offer space-saving and multi-use solutions for small living spaces are disrupting the furniture industry. - **Customizable Kids Furniture:** The trend of personalized and customizable furniture allows kids to have a say in how their bedrooms look and feel. ### Where This Applies - **Furniture:** The furniture industry can leverage dollhouse-inspired furniture and functional loft beds to cater to the growing demand for children's furniture with a play element and space-saving solutions. - **Toy:** Toy companies can introduce more interactive and educational toys that are designed to complement and enhance the dollhouse-inspired furniture trend. - **Interior Design:** Interior designers can collaborate with furniture companies to create personalized and unique bedroom spaces for children that incorporate dollhouse-inspired furniture and functional loft beds. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [2-in-1 Toddler Beds](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/piccalio-bedbed.md) - [Youth Gamer Bunk Beds](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gaming-bunk-bed.md) - [Overhead Storage Single Beds](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/otto-cobbo-bed.md) - [Modular Childhood Bed Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rocksolid-bed-system.md) - [Ultra-Modern Bunk Beds](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flexy-junior-bed.md) - [Building Block Decor Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pottery-barn-kids-x-lego-collection.md) - [Fairytale-Inspired Bed Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/circu-mr-bunny-bed.md) - [Terrace-Topped Tiny Houses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bth-loft.md) - [Tri-Level Luxury Dollhouses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/luxury-dollhouse.md)
