Even though there are many people who are trained to locate objects in space that could potentially cause harm to the people on Earth, there's a lot of space to cover and some asteroids just seem to come out of nowhere.

To help researchers find asteroids that could collide with Earth, Asteroid Zoo is a project that's a lot like Tomnod, in which anyone can [search the raw images from telescopes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/seestar-s30) to pinpoint objects of interest. When looking at the [space images](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pic-2-planet), there's the option to tag objects as an "asteroid" or an "artifact." It takes the eyes of an eagle to make a notable discovery, but that's just another purpose of the project, finding people to aid with [future space exploration](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stellarscope-1).
