The collection is designed to foster interaction, while also allowing employees a certain amount of privacy at their workstation. Locale consists of [oval-shaped desks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/calm-collection) with [colorful privacy shields](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chameleon-workplace). The idea behind the oval desks is that they promote collaboration and openness. The small wall allows for privacy when needed. The height of the desks are also adjustable, allowing workers to switch spaces when their presence is needed in another part of the office. More and more companies nowadays have [open-concept offices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/deveron-office). However, furniture hasn't necessarily adapted to this shift in layout. Locale Office Furniture is a great example of designers responding to the new-found focus on collaboration and teamwork in the office. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.6/10 - Popularity: 5% | Activity: 35% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/furniture) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Collaborative Workstations:** Locale Office Furniture's oval-shaped desks with colorful privacy shields promote collaboration and openness in the workplace. - **Adaptable Furniture:** Locale Office Furniture's adjustable height desks allow workers to switch spaces, facilitating seamless collaboration across the office. - **Privacy Solutions:** Locale Office Furniture's small privacy walls provide employees with the necessary privacy when needed in an open-concept office. ### Who This Affects Most - **Office Furniture:** Locale Office Furniture's teamwork-focused workstations cater to the growing demand for collaborative office setups. - **Interior Design:** The rise of open-concept offices presents an opportunity for designers to create furniture that fosters collaboration and privacy, like Locale Office Furniture. - **Workspace Management:** Locale Office Furniture addresses the need for adaptable workspaces, allowing for seamless collaboration and efficient space utilization. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Hybrid Worker Furniture Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/herman-miller-oe1.md) - [People-Pleasing Office Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cubicle-system.md) - [Contemporary Dynamic Workspaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/officetopia.md) - [Bench Wall Furniture Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cubicle.md) - [Modular Hybrid Work Layouts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hybrid-work-layout.md) - [Modular Post-Pandemic Office Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/futo-collection-furniture.md) - [Slick Commercial Furniture Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/commercial-furniture-collection.md) - [Vibrant Versatile Furniture Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/here-now-1.md) - [Acoustic Office Furniture Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/acoustic-lounge.md)
