The test will run for 6-12 months and it will assess how autonomous vehicles can be used in the city. The test will be conducted in the West Rouge neighborhood, where it will take passengers to the GO train station. If the test is successful autonomous shuttles from Local Motors could be used in conjunction with the city’s public transportation system. Specifically, autonomous vehicles could connect people to bus or train stops. The Olli 2.0 is able to fit a maximum of eight passengers, however, two staff members will be present during the trial.
