# Dangerous Firearm Illuminators These Loaded Ceramics Gun Lamps are Locked and Loaded By Jana Pijak | Published 2011-12-24 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/loaded-ceramics-gun-lamps References: [thinng](http://thinng.com/1436-ak47-standing-lamp) & [etsy](http://www.etsy.com/listing/63105179/ak-47-standing-lamp) These [handmade Loaded Ceramics](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/see-earth) gun lamps are hand constructed from [slip-cast ceramic](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ceramic-blossom). The violently witty lamp series features three different models that include an AK-47 standing lamp, a Tri-9 mm gun lamp and a 9mm gun wall sconce. Every intricate piece is slip-cast through a custom plaster mold and reproduced to make the final product. These loaded light bases are finished with a semi-matte glaze which shows off the elaborate detailing involved in each gun. These drop dead gorgeous gun bases are paired with [sleek black shades](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/air-table-light) in a matte finish. The shades, lined in gold create a glowing aura when lamps are lit up with an image reminiscent of guns being fired. These dynamic and imaginative pieces are a decorative statement accessory or a killer gift for the holidays. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.6/10 - Popularity: 29% | Activity: 41% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Gun-inspired Decor:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Design and produce gun-themed decor items for a niche market of consumers seeking unique and edgy home accessories. - **Handmade Ceramic Lamps:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop a line of handmade ceramic lamps that incorporate artistic and unconventional designs to cater to customers looking for one-of-a-kind lighting options. - **Violent Witty Home Accessories:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Create a collection of home accessories with violent and witty themes, appealing to a niche audience that appreciates dark humor and edgy design elements. ### Who This Affects Most - **Home Decor:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Explore the intersection of art and functionality to create unique home decor items that go beyond traditional designs and cater to consumers looking for statement pieces. - **Ceramics:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Push the boundaries of ceramics by combining unconventional designs with traditional craftsmanship techniques, offering a new range of ceramic products that appeal to contemporary tastes. - **Gifts and Novelties:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Tap into the market of unique and unconventional gifts by creating a range of novelty items that appeal to individuals seeking distinctive and conversation-worthy presents. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Quirky Common Item Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/table-lamp-lighter.md) - [Shooting Target Wall Clocks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/clockwerk-target-clocks.md) - [80s-Inspired Ceramic Lighting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flaming-stars.md) - [Naturalistic Handmade Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/honey-lamp-collection.md) - [Scenic Architecture Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/architecture-inspired-table-lamp.md) - [Sculpted Ceramic Lighting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mios.md) - [Pencil Shaving-Inspired Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sharpener-lampshades.md) - [Colorful Geometric Desk Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spot-on-desk.md) - [Creature-Like Floor Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-pink-robots-won.md)
