Working with [layer upon layer of laser-cut wood](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/timevase) to create the textured design detailing that mimics tree rings, the artist's background in architecture becomes evident in the way he builds up the [gravity-defying curves of these sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/loop-furnitures). The [beautifully folded structure](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/folded-echoes) of the vases was inspired by the delicacy and natural grace of tulips, making these vases beautiful home decor without the need for putting actual flowers inside. Kleinhample uses a range of wood types that grow in Slovenia to create his individual and unique sculptural vases in different tones and textures. The LMBRJK Trilip Vase series by Jon Kleinhample is painstakingly detailed and elegant. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.5/10 - Popularity: 45% | Activity: 81% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Home](https://www.trendhunter.com/home) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Laser-cut Wood Art:** Exploring the potential of laser-cut wood to create intricate and textured designs in art and decor. - **Nature-inspired Home Decor:** Designing home decor pieces that are inspired by natural elements like tulips to add beauty and elegance to living spaces. - **Sustainable Material Use:** Increasing the use of locally sourced and sustainable materials like wood in artistic and design creations for a more environmentally friendly approach. ### Where This Applies - **Art and Design:** The art and design industry can explore the use of laser-cut wood as a medium to create unique and visually appealing pieces of art. - **Home Decor:** The home decor industry can incorporate nature-inspired elements like the tulip design in vases to offer aesthetically pleasing decor options. - **Sustainable Materials:** The sustainable materials industry can promote the use of locally sourced and eco-friendly materials like wood in various artistic and design applications. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Modern Totem-Like Vases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/totemlike-vases.md) - [Milled Three-Dimensional Puzzle Vases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ceramic-bodies.md) - [Connection-Inspired X-Shaped Vases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vaax.md) - [Delicate Colorful Vases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/delicate-colorful-vase.md) - [Nature-Inspired 3D-Printed Vases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/drag-and-drop.md) - [Minimalist Illusory Vases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vaso-gota-vase.md) - [Nordic-Inspired Glass Blown Vases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fab-vase.md) - [Sculptural Glass Vases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/navazi.md) - [Stackable Clay Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/torre-vases.md)
