So you like to have living plants on your coffee table but do not want to mess the design up with a big pot on top of the table? Designer Greg Zulkie has the solution for you. This **Stitch Table** is a coffee table with 3 [stainless steel pots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/twist-side-table) that can hold anything you want. From living plants, fake flowers, decorations, to magazines and pens. The table gets its name from the way the mahogany "stitches" the maple surfaces together. According to the designer, the table was inspired by *Nakashima* and the desire to incorporate living things into furniture. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.1/10 - Popularity: 51% | Activity: 65% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Eco](https://www.trendhunter.com/eco) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Living Furniture:** Opportunity for incorporating natural elements into furniture designs. - **Green Interior Design:** Growing demand for furniture that integrates living plants for a healthier and more sustainable living environment. - **Multi-functional Furniture:** Increasing popularity of furniture designs that serve multiple purposes, such as storage or display options for plants and decorations. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Interior Design:** Incorporating living plants into furniture designs to create unique and sustainable interior spaces. - **Home Decor:** Creating furniture pieces that combine functionality and aesthetics, allowing homeowners to personalize their living spaces with plants and other decorative items. - **Gardening and Plant Retail:** Collaborating with furniture designers to offer innovative solutions like integrated planters, appealing to individuals looking to incorporate greenery into their homes. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Terrarium Stool Seating Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wild-stool.md) - [Artful Coffee Table Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vertushka.md) - [Japandi-Style Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cloth-coffee-table.md) - [Multifunctional Living Room Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aliving-coffee-table.md) - [Whimsical Utility Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/roach-clip-side-table.md) - [Plant-Friendly Furniture Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jcp-universe-coloniae.md) - [Curvaceous Animalistic Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bookpet-coffee-table.md) - [Minimalist Book Storage Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pocket-coffee-table.md) - [Creature-Like Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/octopus-center-table.md)
