The machine itself is around 16-bit, complete with a 12/24kHz sampling engine with a 12-bit sampler mode that creates a sound that evokes genuine lofi audio. On the machine is also a laid-back knob that creates a delay along with 11 tracks and eight master effects that introduce [cassette or vinyl simulations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/diy-mixtape-kit). It also helps with other audio modifications including reverb, low and high pass filters, and distortions. Additionally, the Liven Lofi-12 also has the option of a [four-track sequencer](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/phase8) that helps with locking the parameters and sound changes.
