# Bottle Stopper Shelving The Little Corkie Picture Rail Lets You Pin and Prop Your Pics By Amelia Roblin | Published 2012-07-19 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/little-corkie-picture-rail References: [notcot.org](http://www.notcot.org/post/49066/) & [w-m-y](http://www.w-m-y.com/product/little-corkie-picture-rail) Instead of having to drill a handful of holes in the walls in order to display a handful of photos, something like the Little Corkie Picture Rail allows you to tack up a collection of items on just two nails. Upon those, you are afforded the freedom of haphazardly hanging your [Polaroids and Post-Its](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/instantphoto) for a bit of playful decoration. This is accomplished because [natural granulated cork](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modular-cork-seating) was modeled into a sort of mantle or [narrow floating shelf](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ledge-shelf). It has three registers that culminate in a broader upper ledge, carved with a little trough for the placement of wide and thin items like framed and unframed photos and drawings. Thumbtacks allow you to further turn Erin Deighton's Little Corkie Picture Rail into a pinboard to attach a variety of other trinkets. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.3/10 - Popularity: 26% | Activity: 4% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Gen Alpha, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Modular Picture Display:** Opportunity for creating customizable and versatile picture display solutions without the need for drilling multiple holes. - **Playful Decorative Storage:** Innovation potential for combining storage and decorative elements to add a playful touch to interior design. - **Multi-functional Wall Accessories:** Space-saving possibilities by developing wall accessories that serve multiple purposes, such as holding pictures and acting as a pinboard. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Home Decor:** The home decor industry can explore creating unique and practical solutions for displaying photos and small items on walls. - **Furniture:** Furniture companies can incorporate modular picture display options into their designs to offer customers more customization and flexibility. - **Office Supplies:** Office supply manufacturers can leverage the trend of playful and multi-functional wall accessories to create innovative products for organizing and decorating workspaces. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Wine Bottle Cork Trimmers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/qwikcork.md) - [Modular Architectural Wine Racks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/barrique-bottle-holder.md) - [Eco Cork Organizers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cork-box.md) - [Sustainable Cork Desk Organizers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/korka.md) - [Cork-Base Spinning Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spinmemo.md) - [Sustainable Cork Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/forest-for-the-trees.md) - [Modular Marble Photo Frames](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/memorable-picture-frame.md) - [Discreet Folding Shelf Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/folding-shelf.md) - [Stackable Cork-Made Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modular-cork-seating.md)
