The D-1064 is the latest in this series that offers a veritable plethora of [personalized seating options](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/henn). The DS-1064 seating system--don’t dare call it a sofa--has back rests that can be placed in any number of configurations in this [flexible, expandable modular seating](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flow-seating). As de Ruiter explains, “This makes for a tiny island of peace and security--not at the end of the world, but at our very feet--so that we can revel in a paradise of seating in our very own living rooms.” ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.3/10 - Popularity: 31% | Activity: 31% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Modular Seating:** Discover the trend of flexible, expandable seating systems that allow for personalized configurations. - **Personalized Furniture:** Explore the trend of customizable furniture options that offer a plethora of seating choices. - **Expanding Design:** Uncover the trend of furniture designs that can be expanded and reconfigured to create a unique seating experience. ### Where This Applies - **Furniture:** The furniture industry can leverage modular seating to offer customizable and expandable options that cater to individual preferences. - **Interior Design:** The interior design industry can utilize personalized furniture to create unique seating arrangements that reflect the client's style and preferences. - **Home Decor:** The home decor industry can tap into expanding design trends to offer innovative furniture pieces that optimize space and functionality. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Systematic Seating Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hybla-seating-system.md) - [Cozy Versatile Sofa Modules](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/furniture-fjord.md) - [Modular Sofa Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hybla.md) - [Hybrid Sofa Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/adaptable-sofa-system.md) - [Modular Triangular Sofa Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moooi-peaks-sofa.md) - [Rounded Modular Sofa Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smooth-sofa.md) - [Modular Bulbous Lounge Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sundae-modular-lounge.md) - [Stacked Brick-Like Sofas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/soft-brick-modular-sofa.md) - [Modular Multifunctional Sofa Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hulala-home-elitenest.md)
