The fungal-formed umbrella shape of this green bench shelters worn-out walkers from sun and rain, and collects these natural resources to feed an internal shaft of shrubs. The plants within the [circular public bench](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/urban-bench) breathe out cool refreshing air on sweltering sitters in summer months, and the same byproduct is harnessed to power [integrated LED lighting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lumen-chair) throughout the seating space. The Lite-On Fresh-Chair is truly another genius green design that succeeds to satisfy solutions to several challenges simultaneously. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.1/10 - Popularity: 89% | Activity: 85% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Eco](https://www.trendhunter.com/eco) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Dual-function Furniture:** Expanding the functionality of furniture to provide multiple uses, such as the ability to provide shade, collect rainwater, and generate power. - **Natural Resource Utilization:** Incorporating the use of natural resources, such as rainwater and plant-based air filtration, to create sustainable and eco-friendly designs. - **Integrated LED Lighting:** Integrating LED lighting into furniture designs to provide illumination and enhance user experience. ### Who This Affects Most - **Furniture Design:** The furniture industry can explore innovative ways to incorporate dual-function features and sustainable materials into their designs, focusing on eco-friendly solutions. - **Renewable Energy:** The renewable energy industry can explore opportunities to harness natural resources like rainwater and plant-based air filtration to power lighting systems and other applications. - **Urban Planning:** Urban planners can incorporate furniture with integrated LED lighting and natural resource utilization to create sustainable and comfortable public spaces for urban dwellers. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Rotating Solar-Powered Benches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/a-solarpowered-bench-that-spins-ever-so-slowly.md) - [Urban Solar Charging Benches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/perovia.md) - [Naturalistic Public Outdoor Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/life-ark-outdoor-seat.md) - [Rotating Solar Powered Benches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/eness-1.md) - [Elegantly Airy Outdoor Benches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/arch-bench.md) - [Tree-Intertwined Metal Benches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tenir-bench.md) - [Living Plant DIY Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/green-hideaway.md) - [Air-Purifying Stool Seats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zazen-air-purifier.md) - [Tranquil Reading Seating](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chapters-furniture.md)
