Best let Cardboardesign describe their own creation. “They move freely - flowing from one shape to another. Each item can transform into [many different shapes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/loop-furnitures) from vases, bowls, platters, candle holders, stress toy or a cool table top decoration.” Cardboardesign Sales Manager Barbara Henszey elaborated on Liquidcardboard by saying, “Cardboardesign products combine a cool-looking aesthetic in durable, non-toxic, earth-friendly furniture.” She continued, “A perfect choice for any green’ household, Cardboardesign combines ‘high style’ with ‘eco-friendly’…it’s furniture that is fun and functional!” When they were showing these products at a recent tradeshow I found their booth was overflowing of people into the aisle. It was easy to see everyone was amazed with this unique creation of form and functionality. This is a true case of [form follows function](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/expand-furniture) and when using one’s imagination anyone can see a use/application for it. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.4/10 - Popularity: 8% | Activity: 55% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Eco](https://www.trendhunter.com/eco) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Malleable Materials:** Opportunity for innovation in creating malleable materials that can transform into different shapes and serve various functions. - **Eco-friendly Furniture:** Disruptive innovation opportunity in designing durable, non-toxic, and earth-friendly furniture that combines style with sustainability. - **Functional Art:** Innovation potential in creating artistic pieces that are not just visually appealing but also serve a practical purpose. ### Where This Applies - **Furniture Manufacturing:** Opportunity for the furniture manufacturing industry to incorporate eco-friendly materials and design functional yet stylish pieces. - **Home Decor:** Disruptive innovation potential in the home decor industry by introducing malleable materials that can be shaped into versatile decorative items. - **Art and Design:** Opportunity for artists and designers to explore the intersection of artistic expression and functional design using unconventional materials. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Cardboard Box-Transformed Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/box-exhibition.md) - [Cardboard Box Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/karton-furniture-collection.md) - [Cardboard-Inspired Ceramic Household Art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cardboard-collection.md) - [Dynamic Sculptural Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/interactive-transformation-table.md) - [Eco-Friendly Styrofoam Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/we.md) - [Ergonomic Cardboard Seat Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cardboard-chair-process-book.md) - [Collapsible Flatpack Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/edo-side-table.md) - [Grow-at-Home Sponge Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sponge-furniture.md) - [Eco-Friendly Organized Containers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tronco.md)
