Liquid Jewel by Fabian Oefner, a photographer based in Zurich, Switzerland, is a photo series that may seem familiar to some. That is because it is quite similar to Oefner's past work including [Black Hole](http://www.trendhunter.com/trends/paint-splatter), [Nebulae](http://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nebulae-by-fabian-oefner) and [Dancing Colors](http://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dancing-colors). Clearly, paint is his go-to medium.

In this case, however, Liquid Jewel by Fabian Oefner revolves around the use of air pressure to create the compact circular shapes. The images were achieved by also using [modelling balloons covered in paint](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/keff-joons). Oefner writes, "What I particularly love about the images is that if you look closely, you can see, how the [individual shades start to mix](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lidris) with each other, blue and magenta becomes violet, red and yellow becomes orange."
