This results in an array of storage spaces that range from small to larger and are perfect for books and [small home decor items](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bug-table). The side table, although well-suited as an accent, is stylish enough to be used as a focal point in any space. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.8/10 - Popularity: 99% | Activity: 92% | Freshness: 13% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/furniture) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Geometric Furniture:** Designing furniture that incorporates geometric shapes and patterns for a unique and artistic appearance, including storage solutions. - **Natural Texture:** Highlighting the natural texture of wood and other materials to add an organic element to furniture design. - **Functional Art:** Creating furniture pieces that are both functional and visually complex to serve as statement pieces in any space. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Furniture Design:** Incorporating unique and artistic patterns in furniture design, such as geometric shapes and natural textures, for a more visually appealing and functional product. - **Interior Design:** Incorporating functional art pieces in interior design to serve as focal points and add character to spaces. - **Home Decor:** Developing storage solutions that are visually complex and enhance the natural textures of materials used for a unique and functional addition to home decor. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Asymmetrical Storage Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/crossbred-side-table.md) - [Intersecting Two-Part Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shaolin-side-table.md) - [Perplexingly Angular Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tadashi-side-table.md) - [Interlocking Puzzle-Like Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/connect-table.md) - [Geometric Cutout Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/designated-table.md) - [Slender Geometric Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tong-side-table.md) - [Fabric-Like Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tablecloth-side-table.md) - [Curvaceous Abstract Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pet-table.md) - [Lunar-Inspired Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moon-side-table.md)
