# Versatile Line Lamps The Linelight Lamps are Suitable For Home and Office Use By Rahul Kalvapalle | Published 2014-09-03 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/linelight References: [designboom](http://www.designboom.com/design/shibui-linelight-maison-et-objet-2014-09-03-2014/) & [shibui.ch](http://www.shibui.ch/) Linelight is an elegantly designed and highly versatile LED lamp system. These lamps are the product of a collaboration between designers Constantinos Hoursoglou and Anthanasios Bablais of Shibui. The system itself consists of a [slim 12 x 12 mm extruded aluminum tube](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flat-light) housing that offers conveniently unobtrusive light to the interior space. Each Linelight lamp essentially sits on an [array of pivots and rotational points](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pivoting-lamps-collection). This allows users to adjust the lamp's design to suit their very specific requirements depending on their activities, needs and environment. The lamps are available in a wide variety of powder-coated colors including dark grey, white, yellow and red. Each version can be combined with a matching fabric-covered cord. The lamps can be easily folded and turned to face a wall, providing an ambient glow instead of direct light.
