It is now revived by Italian furniture brand Porro as it is developing the capsule for the first time. Mendini first created the units with a cellulose acetate surface in primary tones. There are three items that make up the collection including two sideboard cupboard units and a writing desk. Mendini's daughters Fulvia and Elisa note, “We identified in the Alessandro Mendini archive some drawings that had a very advanced level of design. These pieces of furniture are really very faithful to the original design, we are really happy for this collaboration.” Image Credit: Alessandro Mendini, Porro ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.9/10 - Popularity: 41% | Activity: 28% | Freshness: 18% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Smart Storage Solutions:** The Linea Storage collection offers smart storage solutions with its colorful and unique units. - **Colorful Storage Units:** The Linea Storage collection features colorful storage units with a cellulose acetate surface in primary tones. - **Reviving Design Archive:** Porro collaborates with Alessandro Mendini to revive and develop the Linea Storage collection based on the designer's original drawings. ### Who This Affects Most - **Furniture Manufacturing:** The Linea Storage collection presents disruptive innovation opportunities for the furniture manufacturing industry with its smart storage solutions. - **Interior Design:** Interior designers can explore the Linea Storage collection's colorful storage units to create vibrant and unique spaces. - **Architectural Design:** Architectural designers can draw inspiration from the Linea Storage collection's revival of Alessandro Mendini's design archive for their projects. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Dynamic Vibrancy Furniture Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/porro-linea.md) - [Colorful Modular Storage Sysem](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/center-center-storage.md) - [Curved Dynamic Furniture Capsules](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/meridiani.md) - [Sandbox-Like Modular Storage Cabinets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modular-storage-cabinet1.md) - [Funky Colorful Storage Units](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/colorful-storage-units.md) - [Wireframed-Based Furniture Capsules](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lines-series.md) - [Playful Storage Blocks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/berto-hidden-secrets.md) - [Colorful Minimally Designed Cabinets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/colour-cabinet.md) - [Architecturally Strong Furniture Capsules](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/edge-capsule.md)
