The stairs go up the middle part of the house, with the various rooms built around it. Other than the staircase, the rest of the house is extremely impressive too. [Wood floors are featured throughout](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/highland-park-residence), and floor-to-ceiling windows are placed on the corner area of the structure, with natural light flowing into the living room. For cold days, a cozy fire is placed in this living room area too. A white-washed painting job was done on the inside of the home, giving it a [minimalist look](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/silver-house), and also drawing more attention to the other details of the home, such as the staircase and furniture. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.1/10 - Popularity: 66% | Activity: 49% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Architecture](https://www.trendhunter.com/architecture) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Central Staircases:** Incorporating a prominent central staircase in home design provides a unique and elegant focal point. - **Wood Floors:** Using wood flooring throughout a home adds a touch of warmth and natural beauty to the space. - **Floor-to-ceiling Windows:** Installing floor-to-ceiling windows in homes allows for an abundance of natural light and a seamless connection to the outdoors. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Interior Design:** The interior design industry can explore innovative ways to incorporate stunning central staircases into modern home designs. - **Flooring:** The flooring industry can capitalize on the demand for wood flooring as a stylish and timeless choice for homes. - **Window Manufacturing:** The window manufacturing industry can focus on producing high-quality floor-to-ceiling windows that provide energy efficiency and aesthetic appeal. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Sculptural Townhome Staircases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/atelier-pierre-thibault-1.md) - [Remodelled Staircase-Centric Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cobalt-coach-house.md) - [Sculptural Staircase Penthouses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/frederic-chopin.md) - [Staggered Floor Modern Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/house-of-seven-floors.md) - [Elevated Leisure Habitats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/elevated-leisure-habitat.md) - [Elevated Geometric Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ph8-penthouse.md) - [Modern Mountainous Luxury Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/robert-chisholm-architects.md) - [Timbered Passage Stair Extensions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wooden-annex.md) - [Tranquil A‑Frame Retreats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/steel-a-frame.md)
