# Hourglass Lamps The Lime Light-Solar Fled Lamp by Seichi Tomari Reminds Us That Time Ligh By Michael Hines | Published 2010-02-25 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lime-light-solar-fled References: [yankodesign](http://www.yankodesign.com/2010/02/24/sands-of-light/) The Lime Light-Solar Fled lamp is the [most creative lamp](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tangent-lamp) I have ever seen in my life. This lamp is designed just like an hourglass. That could be very cool (and also very frustrating). How can it be frustrating you ask? The Lime Light-Solar Fled lamp works by dropping tiny [glass balls](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nola-lamp) down into the [light bulb](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fire-capsule-oil-lamp). Those balls refract light and illuminate your room. When you are out of balls, you are out of light. Frustratingly brilliant! If you can't peep my verbal game, try watching the video to see what I mean. This lamp is no joke. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.8/10 - Popularity: 1% | Activity: 75% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Home](https://www.trendhunter.com/home) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Hourglass Lamps:** The trend of hourglass-shaped lamps that use glass balls to refract light. - **Solar-powered Lighting:** The trend of using solar power to generate light for lamps. - **Innovative Lighting Design:** The trend of creating unique and creative designs for lamps, such as the Lime Light-Solar Fled lamp. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Lighting:** The lighting industry can explore new designs and concepts for lamps, incorporating elements like hourglass shapes and glass ball refraction. - **Renewable Energy:** The renewable energy industry can capitalize on the trend of solar-powered lighting by developing more efficient and innovative solar-powered lamps. - **Interior Design:** The interior design industry can incorporate unique and creative lamp designs, like the Lime Light-Solar Fled lamp, to add a touch of visual interest and uniqueness to spaces. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Task-Managing Dynamic Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fall-lamp-concept.md) - [Archetypal Conical Light Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fragile-lamp.md) - [Sci-Fi-Inspired Dynamic Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spacetime-transformation-lamp.md) - [Scenic Architecture Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/architecture-inspired-table-lamp.md) - [Quirky Common Item Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/table-lamp-lighter.md) - [Sustainable Solar Portable Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/iggy-lamp.md) - [Reversible Glass Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jal.md) - [Hollow Candle-Like Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lampe.md) - [Interactive Lamp Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tangent-lamp.md)
