The aptly named "I Love My Dog" is a [copper dog dish](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/trot-pets-1) meant to replace the plastic ones commonly used by dog owners. Gulbert came up with her design after noticing that the [plastic dish](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-bowls) her dog ate out of was aggravating his allergies. Not many pet owners stop and think about the harm that continually eating plastic can do to a pet. Lili Gulbert's "I Love My Dog" would provide a safe place for dogs to eat. Cleaning would be a breeze as copper is a lot easier to deal with than plastic. The dishes also have a [natural and contemporary look](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/biting-edge) to them, thus adding to their allure. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.4/10 - Popularity: 31% | Activity: 33% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Pets](https://www.trendhunter.com/pets) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Copper Pet Dishes:** Lili Gulbert's 'I Love My Dog' provides a sustainable and safe alternative to traditional plastic dishes for pets. - **Natural Pet Products:** Gulbert's copper dishes tap into a growing trend of natural and environmentally friendly pet products. - **Pet Allergy Prevention:** 'I Love My Dog' aims to prevent allergies in pets caused by chemical poisoning in plastic dishes. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Pet Products:** The pet industry could benefit from offering more sustainable and natural products like Gulbert's copper dishes. - **Home Decor:** The contemporary and stylish design of the 'I Love My Dog' dishes make them suitable for pet owners who value both function and aesthetics. - **Eco-friendly Products:** Gulbert's use of sustainable materials and focus on allergy prevention aligns with the growing trend towards eco-friendly products and sustainability in general. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Modern Dog Bowl Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modern-dog-bowl.md) - [Artisanal Dog Bowls](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/artisanal-dog-bowls.md) - [Mix-and-Match Dog Bowls](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/woof-dog-bowl.md) - [Health-Focused Pet Bowls](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/doggy-diner.md) - [Designer Pet Bowls](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smallserve.md) - [Edible Dog Food Bowls](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/juliane-fink.md) - [Contemporary Heightened Pet Bowls](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/como.md) - [Design-Conscious Pet Bowls](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/trot-pets-elevated-complete-set.md) - [Modern Pet Dining Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modern-pet.md)
