The new Asus [ZenBook](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zenbook-17-fold-oled) laptops achieve this by getting rid of the screen bezel in a display mechanism that Asus has dubbed 'NanoEdge.' Aside from a small space for the webcam, there's no wasted real estate around the screen, which can be obtained in 13-inch, 14-inch and 15-inch versions. Despite their relatively large screens, these lightweight laptops are very portable and slim, making them excellent options for people who want a laptop that's convenient to use while traveling but don't want to compromise on display quality. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 0.3/10 - Popularity: 1% | Activity: 1% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Computers](https://www.trendhunter.com/computers) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Bezel-free Laptops:** The trend toward bezel-free laptops opens up opportunities for manufacturers to offer improved screen coverage and enhanced portability for consumers. - **Nanoedge Display Mechanisms:** The new NanoEdge display mechanism eliminates wasted space around the screen, offering improved display at a higher ratio of the device's real estate. - **Lightweight, Portable Laptops:** The trend toward slimmer, lighter laptops that don't compromise on display quality offers opportunities for manufacturers to design products that meet consumers' demands for increased portability and functionality. ### Where This Applies - **Computer Manufacturing:** The computer manufacturing industry can capitalize on the trend toward bezel-free laptops by investing in research and development to offer consumers more advanced display technology and improved portability. - **Travel and Leisure:** As the trend toward slimmer, lighter laptops that don't compromise on display quality continues, the travel and leisure industry can benefit by offering tech-focused amenities to meet the needs of today's digital nomads and modern travelers. - **Webcams and Video Conferencing:** With the elimination of wasted space around laptop screens, webcam and video conferencing technology is likely to become increasingly important, opening up opportunities for growth and innovation in these industries. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Upgraded Dual-Screen Lightweight Laptops](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zenbook-duo-2026.md) - [All-Aluminum eSports Laptops](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/asus-rog-zephyrus.md) - [Slender Ultra-Portable Laptops](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/asus-zenbook-14-oled.md) - [Dual-Screen Laptops](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zenbook-duo.md) - [Sleek Power-Efficient Laptops](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/asus-vivobook-16-wuxga.md) - [Convertible Business-Ready Laptops](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/asus-expertbook-b5.md) - [Camera-Embedded Display Laptops](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lenovo-yoga-slim-9i.md) - [Slim Military-Grade Laptops](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/asus-expertbook-b9.md) - [Ultraportable Green OLED Laptops](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/s-13-oled-ux5304.md)
