# Delicate Wrapped String Chandeliers The 'Saepio' Lighting Series Features Strings of LED Lights By Michael Hemsworth | Published 2016-03-12 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lighting-series References: [yankodesign](http://www.yankodesign.com/2016/03/11/strands-of-light/) & [ilhoon](http://ilhoon.com) Drawing inspiration from the Latin word saepio that means to wrap or surround, the 'Saepio' Lighting Series features a delicate design aesthetic worthy of modern living spaces. Packed with handwoven fiber optic LED light strings, the illumination solution has the strings hung and allowed to fall as gravity would prefer. What's created is a chandelier that offers a totally one of a kind aesthetic that's full of large and small curves for a somewhat optical experience. The 'Saepio' Lighting Series is designed by Il Hoon Roh and offers something of a floating illumination aesthetic. While traditional fixtures focus on bulbs to operate, the incorporation of LED light strings helps to shed light in all directions rather than just one or a few. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.7/10 - Popularity: 25% | Activity: 17% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **String Lighting:** Opportunities for incorporating handwoven fiber optic LED light strings into lighting solutions for a unique and modern aesthetic. - **Delicate Design:** Creating lighting fixtures with a delicate and intricate design that adds an elegant touch to living spaces. - **Floating Illumination:** Exploring the use of LED light strings to create a floating and multidirectional lighting experience. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Lighting:** Incorporating innovative and artistic lighting solutions into residential and commercial spaces. - **Interior Design:** Utilizing delicate and modern lighting fixtures to enhance the overall design aesthetic of interiors. - **Home Decor:** Introducing unique lighting options that offer an optical experience and add a touch of elegance to home decor. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Delicate Illusory Ceiling Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aria-light.md) - [Willow Tree-Inspired Lighting Capsules](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/larose-guyon.md) - [Glowing Tubular Light Fixtures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/array-lighting.md) - [Geometric Bar-Like Lighting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/empyrean.md) - [Encapsulated Semi-Transparent Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nested-pendant-light.md) - [Dynamic Hand-Blown Glass Chandeliers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/polaris.md) - [Delicate Lighting Collection Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/delicate-lighting.md) - [Unconventional Modular Lighting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/luna-kaleido-series.md) - [Artistic Ribbon-Like Ceiling Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-fellas-ceiling-light.md)
