This creative work titled 'Endangered Species' contains 23 light bulbs of different sizes and shapes. There are multiple ways the bulbs can be put together, which makes the assembling process more like an exciting art project. As the name suggests, the Endangered Species was inspired by insects or jellyfish; the [sculptural pieces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sculptural-lighting-designs) resemble limbs of rare exotic creatures. The decorative bulbs could even be assembled into a [sci-fi-esque, UFO-type configuration](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spacetime-transformation-lamp). These lights have usually been designed for art exhibitions, but are on sale now for $450; it works with standard ceiling electrical boxes and works with regular switches or dimmers. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.4/10 - Popularity: 31% | Activity: 32% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Reconfigurable Lighting:** The rise of reconfigurable lighting designs presents an opportunity for companies to offer customizable lighting solutions. - **Functional Art:** Designers incorporating functional art into lighting fixtures provide a new approach to decoration, creating unique experiences for users. - **Creative Assembly:** The trend of creative assembly processes for lighting fixtures showcases a new way of product assembly, offering customers a more customizable experience. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Lighting Design:** Lighting design companies can leverage the trend of reconfigurable lighting to offer new customizable solutions to their clients. - **Art Exhibitions:** The integration of functional art and creative assembly can provide new opportunities for lighting designers to showcase their creations at art exhibitions. - **Home Decor:** Companies in the home decor industry can offer unique lighting fixtures that serve as conversation starters and provide a unique experience for users. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Kinetic Insect Sculpture Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dragonfly-balance-light.md) - [Unconventional Modular Lighting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/luna-kaleido-series.md) - [Tree Branch-Formed Lighting Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/celestial-attraction.md) - [Stunningly Intricate Light Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shapes-of-light.md) - [Dynamic Artful Light Fixtures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ghost-chandelier.md) - [Futuristic Totemic Lighting Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/space-relics.md) - [Otherworldly Lighting Fixture Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/otherworldly-lighting-fixture.md) - [Customizable Hanging Workshop Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bay-light.md) - [Intricate Lighting Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/objects-of-common-interest1.md)
