# Colored Cord Corner Lamps The Sleek Design of the Lightbracket Fixture is Vibrantly Minimalist By Gil Cohen | Published 2013-06-06 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lightbracket References: [dwell](http://www.dwell.com/latest/article/genius-lighting-design-courtesy-alexallen-studio) & [alexallenstudio](http://alexallenstudio.com/shop/lightbracket) Created by Brooklyn-based designers Alexandra Burr and Allen Slamic, the Lightbracket lamp from Alexallen Studio is an experiment in astounding minimalism and sheer simplicity. Uniquely set to fit snugly into the corner where the wall meets the ceiling, this design is ideal for installing several throughout the room, spacing them as desired along the wall. White and sleek, the lamp shade is completely inconspicuous, and if it weren't for the brightly colored cords, it might blend altogether into the background of the room. Coming in a rainbow array of eight vibrant shades, the nylon cords create brilliant stripes along the wall, creating a nice accent for minimalist home or office decor. Those who prefer no color whatsoever will be happy to note that the Lightbracket comes with a white cord as well. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.7/10 - Popularity: 55% | Activity: 17% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/furniture) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Minimalist Lighting:** The sleek, inconspicuous design of the Lightbracket lamp presents opportunities for further innovation in minimalistic lighting. - **Brightly Colored Home Decor:** The use of vibrant nylon cords as a decorative element in the Lightbracket lamp can inspire new ideas for incorporating colorful accents in interior design. - **Corner Lighting Fixtures:** The unique shape and placement of the Lightbracket lamp presents an opportunity for innovation in corner lighting fixtures. ### Who This Affects Most - **Interior Design:** The Lightbracket lamp can provide new inspiration for incorporating minimalistic and colorful lighting fixtures into interior design projects. - **Lighting Design:** The design of the Lightbracket lamp can inspire new ideas for sleek, inconspicuous lighting fixtures that blend into their surroundings while still providing ample lighting. - **Home Decor:** Alexallen Studio's Lightbracket lamp presents an opportunity for manufacturers and designers to create bright, minimalist home decor using innovative materials and designs. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Space-Saving Desk Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spacesaving-desk-lamp.md) - [Colorful Geometric Desk Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spot-on-desk.md) - [Simplistic Angular Desktop Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/linear-table-lamp.md) - [Weighted Multi-Position Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/minimalist-desk-lamp-design.md) - [Instrument-Inspired Wall Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/louis-collection-by-sara-schoenberger.md) - [Minimalist Tech Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/delite-20.md) - [Outlet-Equipped Workstation Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/avro-pendant-lamp.md) - [Minimal Aesthetic Light Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flat-light.md) - [Customizable Minimal Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-delta-lamp.md)
