# Porcelain-Dripping Lighting Rebecca Wilson's Light Spill is Fluidly Fun By Meghan Young | Published 2011-06-23 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/light-spill References: [design-milk](http://design-milk.com/rebecca-wilson/) & [rebeccawilsonceramics](http://www.rebeccawilsonceramics.com/index.php/category/shop/lighting/) There is something so prim and proper about Victorian porcelain creations that I'm not surprised to see more and more products like the Light Spill lamp. An atypical [light fixture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/drape-light), the [porcelain patterns](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ceramic-blossom) look as they are melting from the heat of the light bulbs. Although the Light Spill lamps still have a traditional look about them, this artsy touch gives it a contemporary and creative spin. Designed by Rebecca Wilson, the Light Spill lamps that are mounted to walls and come in a range of fruit patterns that make each one more tantalizing than the next. Available [Harley](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/harley-benton) Gallery Craft Shop, the Light Spill lamps are priced at 260 pounds. Rebecca Wilson's Light Snack lamp is also endearingly delicious, made out of 'candies' of white bone china. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.9/10 - Popularity: 67% | Activity: 43% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Melting Patterns:** There is a trend of incorporating melting patterns into traditional designs, creating a contemporary and creative spin. - **Fruit-inspired Lighting:** Light fixtures inspired by fruit patterns are becoming increasingly popular, adding a tantalizing touch to home decor. - **Endearing Designs:** Designers are creating lamps and light fixtures that are whimsical and delicious in appearance, such as the Light Snack lamp made of 'candies' of white bone china. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Home Decor:** The home decor industry can capitalize on the trend of incorporating melting patterns into traditional designs, offering unique and artistic lighting options. - **Lighting Design:** Lighting design companies can benefit from the growing demand for fruit-inspired light fixtures, appealing to consumers looking for playful and visually interesting pieces. - **Artisan Ceramics:** Artisan ceramics businesses can find opportunities in the market for whimsical and endearing designs, like the Light Snack lamp, that combine functionality with artistic expression. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Melt-Resembling Portable Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/melt-light.md) - [Dripping Faucet-Inspired Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/minimalist-light-fixture.md) - [Naturalistic Handmade Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/honey-lamp-collection.md) - [Balloon-Like Lighting Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/soft-blown.md) - [Fishnet-Made Pendant Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/philips-mycreation-droplet-lamp.md) - [Petal-Inspired Glass Lighting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bloom-wall-light.md) - [Archetypal Conical Light Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fragile-lamp.md) - [Ice Cream-Resembling Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/soft-serve-lamp.md) - [3D-Printed Reversed Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/revolve-lamp.md)
