# Bent Light Illuminators The Light Screen Lamp Seems the Warp the Path of Beams in an Abstract Arch By Amelia Roblin | Published 2014-03-27 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/light-screen-lamp References: [yankodesign](http://www.yankodesign.com/2014/03/27/light-bending-work-lamp/) The design of the Light Screen Lamp is quite different to that of your typical desk lamp. It does not have the familiar adjustable head to provide intense directional illumination; it emits bright rays in an innovative way. Ujwal I.K.'s concept product comprises a broad base with LEDs embedded on either end. The most notable component of the [futuristic table lamp](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spacetime-transformation-lamp) is the arching piece of [transparent acrylic](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tuloa) that rises up and bends back down for a stable footing on either side. Fine fiber optic cables are fed through the plastic, guiding the luminescence up, around and throughout. The Light Screen Lamp disperses a powerful but diffuse glow about the room, as well as a more concentrated trajectory from its top, irradiating one area especially well. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.1/10 - Popularity: 67% | Activity: 19% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Broad Base Lamps:** The trend of lamps with broad bases and innovative lighting technologies opens up opportunities for unique and efficient lighting solutions. - **Transparent Acrylic Designs:** The trend of using transparent acrylic in lamp designs allows for creative and futuristic lighting concepts that enhance aesthetics and functionality. - **Fiber Optic Illumination:** The trend of utilizing fiber optic cables in lamps enables the creation of flexible and versatile lighting systems with dynamic lighting effects. ### Where This Applies - **Home Lighting:** The home lighting industry can explore the disruptive innovation opportunity by developing lamps with broad bases and advanced lighting technologies for enhanced illumination experiences. - **Interior Design:** The interior design industry can leverage transparent acrylic lamp designs to create visually stunning lighting fixtures that seamlessly blend with the overall aesthetics of a space. - **Commercial Lighting:** The commercial lighting industry can embrace fiber optic illumination to create dynamic and energy-efficient lighting solutions for retail, hospitality, and other commercial spaces. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Multifunctional Desk Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-boring-lamp.md) - [Simplistic Angular Desktop Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/linear-table-lamp.md) - [Customizable Desktop Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hilight-r9-desk-lamp.md) - [Dynamically Customizable Desk Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/illum-desk-light.md) - [Hollow Candle-Like Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lampe.md) - [Space-Saving Desk Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spacesaving-desk-lamp.md) - [Ethereal Space-Inspired Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wormhole-table-lamp.md) - [Stealthy Pendant Lamp Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/warp-lamp.md) - [Fashionable Flicker-Free Desk Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shlight-led-desk-lamp.md)
