# LED Light Leashes The Squeaker Poochlight Ensures Dogs Remain Visible at Night By Meghan Young | Published 2014-10-02 | Lifestyle Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/light-leash References: [psfk](http://www.psfk.com/2014/09/poochlight-led-leashes-dogs-night-visibility.html) & [squeakerdogs](http://www.squeakerdogs.com/) There are many reasons why a pet owner would want to invest in a light leash. Not only does it increase the visibility of the dog (or perhaps even cat) for the owner him- or herself, but it also increases their visibility to other pedestrians, drivers and more. Whether allowing canine companions to roam freely in a park or not, the light leash ensures that people can keep them in sight at all times. Dubbed the Poochlight, the light leash was created by Squeaker. Available in a bunch of bright colors including orange, pink and green, the light leash can also be accompanied by a light collar. This way, it an owner does want to let their dog loose at night, the dog doesn't have to run around with the light leash still attached. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.7/10 - Popularity: 25% | Activity: 18% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Pets](https://www.trendhunter.com/pets) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Light Leashes:** Improving pet safety with wearable light technology. - **Smart Pet Accessories:** Integrating technology to improve pet safety and convenience. - **Pet-friendly Fashion:** Creating fashionable wearables for pets with added safety features. ### Who This Affects Most - **Pet Industry:** Introducing innovative and tech-based products for pets. - **Fashion Industry:** Collaborating with technology companies to create innovative wearables for pets. - **Outdoor Recreation Industry:** Incorporating smart technology into outdoor pet accessories for enhanced safety and convenience. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Intuitive Intelligent Pet Leashes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/intelligent-pet-leash.md) - [Smart Retractable Leashes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cocoleash.md) - [Cross-Body Dog Leashes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/extra-long-leash.md) - [Illuminated Geolocation Pet Harnesses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-dog-harness.md) - [Multifunctional Customizable Dog Leashes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nylon-leash.md) - [Ultra-Secure Dog Leashes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mui-magnetic-rope-leash.md) - [Handsfree Canine Cyclist Leashes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dog-bicycle-leash.md) - [Rope-Inspired Dog Leashes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rope-leash.md) - [All-in-One Rotating Dog Leashes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/orbit-360-dog-leash.md)
