It has a sky and earth inspiration with his [immersive light sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shapes-of-light) that seem to draw from the lonely travels of a celestial navigator. This installation is titled "a rotational horizon work" to depict the airport scenery. The floor is rimmed with hundreds of hidden LEDs that shift colors ever-so-slightly within five-minute intervals. The light source makes quite an adventurous experience for those who want to see something interesting. This light-inspired installation will be showcased at the [David Zwirner Gallery](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cylindrical-lenses) for public viewing. The immersive experience has an intriguing and [surreal light fixture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/evening-sky) that lures those who enter this airport-like scenery. It truly is an incredible sight. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.4/10 - Popularity: 24% | Activity: 10% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Immersive Light Installations:** Creating immersive light installations that draw inspiration from celestial navigation and offer a unique sensory experience. - **Shifting LED Technology:** Developing LED technology that subtly shifts colors within specific time intervals, enhancing the immersive nature of light installations. - **Airport-inspired Art:** Exploring the thematic use of airport scenery as a source of inspiration for art installations, blurring the line between real and imaginary spaces. ### Where This Applies - **Art Galleries:** Art galleries can showcase immersive light installations to offer visitors a captivating experience and foster engagement with contemporary art. - **Lighting Technology:** The lighting industry can advance LED technology to create dynamic light installations that transform spaces and evoke emotional responses. - **Travel and Tourism:** The travel and tourism industry can incorporate airport-inspired art installations in airports and other public spaces to enhance the overall traveler experience and create memorable moments. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Lightning-Inspired Artful Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bright-light-shining.md) - [Immersive Lighting Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/immersive-lighting-installation.md) - [Immersive Light Exhibits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spencer-finch.md) - [Immersive Light Art Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/psychoacoustic-light-ensemble.md) - [Illuminated Curtained Light Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/making-the-invisible-visible.md) - [Futuristic Immersive Lighting Experiences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/immersive-lighting-experience.md) - [Unique Interactive Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-aurora.md) - [Immersive Space Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/beyond-the-light.md) - [Suspended Lighting Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/suspended-lighting-installation.md)
