# Athletic Light Graffiti Stickman Basketball Players By Bianca | Published 2008-05-17 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/light-graffiti-stickman-basketball References: [flickr](http://www.flickr.com/photos/23698400@N04/2497041522) We've covered light graffiti before, the photographic art of creating designs or writing with the use of a small, rapidly moving light source in a dark setting, yet it still continues to fascinate us as well as the rest of the photo-intrigued blogosphere. Although this image looks like a bunch of stick men are playing a round of [night basketball](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/grain-collective) on a dimly lit court, there was likely nothing present in reality save for a digital SLR camera and a Maglite. I love the author's fantasy in his Flickr description: *Here I have caught the Stickmen playing a game of [street Basketball](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/draftkings-artist-series). They seem to behave not unlike humans, but are extremely nocturnal. I have never caught sight of one in the daylight hours. My studies into the species continue... **Shot taken with my Special stickman filter. This is what happens to our world after dark. They are invisible to the human eye, but they are there!! I will be building my case against them, collecting evidence night after night! Stay tuned!!* Check out some more light graffiti: ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.8/10 - Popularity: 75% | Activity: 90% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Modern](https://www.trendhunter.com/modern) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Nighttime Light Graffiti:** Opportunity for artists to explore and create unique nighttime light graffiti designs on a variety of settings. - **SLR Camera Light Art:** Innovative technique for photographers to capture magical light artwork using an SLR camera and light source. - **Fantastical Photographic Art:** Creating unique, imaginative, and surreal photographic art with light graffiti is a new trend in the art world. ### Where This Applies - **Photography:** Photography equipment manufacturers could innovate by introducing specialized light graffiti filters, cameras, and lenses. - **Marketing:** Brands and advertisers could leverage light graffiti to create unique and eye-catching nighttime marketing campaigns and events. - **Entertainment:** Entertainment venues such as amusement parks, stadiums, and theaters could incorporate light graffiti as a new form of entertainment for their visitors. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Eye-Catching Basketball Parks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/basketball-park.md) - [Festive Light Painting Techniques](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/light-painting-1.md) - [Sporty Wall-Mounted Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/3dprinted-lamp-1.md) - [Artist-Inspired Dynamic Basketballs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/round21.md) - [LED-Equipped Nighttime Baseballs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lightup-baseball.md) - [Museum-Run Basketball Courts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/museumrun-basketball-court.md) - [Vibrant Graphic Basketballs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dragon-skull-basketball.md) - [Fluid Basketball-Net Art Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/swimming-pools-and-bubblegum.md) - [Raw Sports Emotion Artwork](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/game-exhibition.md)
