His contribution includes the 'Lift Tables,' which look like they're [part table, part staircase](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moving-furniture). The two tables go together, creating a piece of furniture that motivates the eye to move upward, despite the low profile of the actual pieces. The Lift Tables are just part of DMY's [design exhibit in Milan](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ikea-revealed). Some of the other pieces they will be featuring are in the gallery. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 0.6/10 - Popularity: 3% | Activity: 7% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Ascending Furniture:** Design and manufacture furniture pieces that motivate the eye to move upward. - **Multi-functional Furniture:** Create furniture pieces that serve more than one purpose to maximize living spaces for small dwellings. - **Customizable Furniture:** Offer furniture pieces that can be easily customized and reconfigured by the user to create unique and personalized designs. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Furniture Manufacturing:** Innovate the furniture industry by offering unique and eye-catching designs that defy conventional aesthetics. - **Interior Design Services:** Provide interior design services that specialize in creating personalized living spaces for small apartments and houses. - **Home Renovation:** Revolutionize home renovation by offering customizable furniture that can be easily incorporated into any design theme. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Elevator-Inspired Cozy Sofa Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lift-sofa.md) - [Bright Artful Cabinet Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bridges-collection.md) - [Home Mobility Accessible Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/capella-design.md) - [Playfully Bright Furniture Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/everything-is-gonna-be-alright.md) - [Dynamic Structural Furniture Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/thermass-and-alton.md) - [Braille-Integrated Furniture Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aedo-collection.md) - [Elegant Tonal Table Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/silos-collection.md) - [Adaptive Furniture Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/expand-furniture.md) - [Dual-Position Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/furniture-design-concept.md)
