The LIFT sofa is joined by a [matching armchair](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/john-pawson) that is carefully made with intricate attention. The team shines a spotlight on the overall commitment to quality, showing both pieces on display to be explored. Renault explains the design inspiration, stating, “A sofa is a piece of furniture that often elevates you from the floor. This wooden frame is directly inspired by the lift/elevator metal frame, working like a cage and a platform that welcomes the cushions." This influence can be seen through the sharp lines that form the structure, which is also what differentiates it from causal seating.
