Each painted cube is hung in a specific place using a strategically measured piece of wire. The final product of the portrait reveals a [pixel-like design](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wplace) that has been extracted from a computer and placed in an art exhibit. The piece is cleverly titled 'My Dealer Is Not A Square.' The highly intricate portrait of Lawrence Cantor only recreates a section of the man's face. The image begins with eyebrows and ends just before the tip of his nose. Andrew Myers hand-made the unique piece of artwork over seven months and the results are immaculate. The remixed version of a pixel image truly highlights the artist's creativity and talent. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.7/10 - Popularity: 66% | Activity: 37% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Painted Cube Art:** The use of painted cubes as a unique material in art exhibits creates opportunities for innovative and pixel-like designs. - **Pixel Remixed Art:** The creation of pixel-like designs in traditional art forms disrupts the boundaries between digital and physical art. - **Intricate Portrait Recreation:** The meticulous recreation of highly detailed portraits using unconventional materials showcases the artist's creativity and skill. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Art Exhibitions:** The use of painted cubes and pixel remixed art in art exhibits opens up new possibilities for engaging and captivating audiences. - **Digital Art:** The integration of pixel-like designs in traditional art forms provides new avenues for artists to explore the intersection of digital and physical art. - **Fine Arts:** The use of unconventional materials and techniques in fine art, such as painted cubes, pushes the boundaries of traditional artistic practices and creates disruptive and innovative works. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Pop Art-Style Blocked Portraits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ai-in-red.md) - [Glass Beaded Intricate Artworks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/painting-exhibition.md) - [Evolving Hybrid Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/human-one.md) - [Video Game-Themed Pixel Paintings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pixel-art-collection.md) - [Digital Archetype Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/christian-rex-van-minnen-1.md) - [Artful Custom Mirror Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/portraits-collection.md) - [Miniature Artful Hip-Hop Landmarks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/danny-cortes.md) - [Iconic Painting-Inspired Puzzle Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/girl-with-a-pearl-earring-1.md) - [Mural Design Assistants](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/art-by-squares.md)
