This Herd of 99 [life-size animal replicas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fibredog) are depicted drinking from a large pool at QAGOMA. The artist Cai Guo-Qiang was inspired to re-create these sculptures from a trip to Stradbroke Island in Australia. This [large-scale installation](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/craig-karl2) is titled ‘Heritage’ as his newest works that took years to create.

This work includes a flock of giraffes, pandas, lions, tigers, and kangaroos all drinking at once from this [mystical blue pool](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/whispering-mountains). His interpretation of heritage references these animals as a way of defining cultural history. All animals are united as the perfect example to showcase a majestic moment of peace and harmony. This installation is displayed at the Queensland Art Gallery | Gallery of Modern Art for the public to experience.
