Although I never experienced dorm life, the Life in a Nutshell photo series really captures part of what I expected it would be like. Presenting the [daily routine of studying and sleeping](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/routines-collection) with some hanging around thrown into the mix, there is a youthful, carefree feel to these images that somehow negates the stressful feelings brought on by projects and exams.

Shot by Slovakia-based photographer Matus Opalka, the Life in a Nutshell photo series was inspired by his particular [experience at college](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hey-u-up-campaign). With a rather quirky and quiet [bird's eye perspective](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/small-muji), Opalka lets us into his most private of spaces throughout the school year.
