The fun line of lid lifters is called 'ESCAPE!' because the silicon rubber objects are designed to look like octopus tentacles and crab legs trying to creep their way out of the pot. The ESCAPE accessories are bright red for the crab and bold purple for the octopus. They were designed and developed at [Fred Stupid](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chomp). Each item weighs less than one pound. The silicon material is the best material to endure the intense heat and steam that comes from kitchen pots. The ultimate goal for these objects is to prop open pot lids on the stove so the water doesn't boil over. These cute kitchen aids are available for sale at Fred and Friends or [Amazon](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fries-clips). ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.6/10 - Popularity: 35% | Activity: 36% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Home](https://www.trendhunter.com/home) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Playful Kitchen Accessories:** Opportunity to create more fun and quirky kitchen tools that serve a practical purpose. - **Animal-inspired Kitchen Decor:** Potential for animal-themed kitchen products that add a touch of whimsy to cooking and dining experiences. - **Functional Design Solutions:** Opportunity to develop innovative products that solve common kitchen problems in an aesthetically pleasing way. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Kitchenware:** Kitchenware manufacturers can create new product lines featuring playful and functional designs. - **Home Decor:** Home decor companies can explore animal-inspired designs for kitchen accessories and generate new revenue streams. - **E-commerce:** E-commerce platforms can feature and sell these unique kitchen aids, capitalizing on the demand for novelty and practicality. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Quirky Spoon Holders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ototo-and-everyplate.md) - [Cookware-Encapsulating Kitchen Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/splatterdm.md) - [Playful Sponge Holders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sponge-holder1.md) - [Aquatic Beverage Coasters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/crab-inspired-coasters.md) - [Revolutionary Splatter Guards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/adjustable-stovetop-splatter-guard.md) - [Quirky Fungi Kitchenwares](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/magic-mushroom-funnel.md) - [Versatile Steamer-Pot Combos](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/everything-pot1.md) - [Aquatic Plant-Inspired Kitchenware](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lilypad-cake-stand.md) - [Aftermarket Air Frying Lids](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kalorik-universal-air-fryer-lid.md)
