Henkel Revamps Its Licor Del Polo Brand to be Fully Recyclable

As more and more consumers prioritize sustainable brands, persona care brand Henkel announced the relaunch of its oral care brand Licor del Polo's packaging. The new tube will feature the Albéa’s Greenleaf tube, which, according to the Association of Plastic Recyclers (APR), is fully recyclable within existing HDPE bottle recycling systems. The new solution features a single-blown film to reduce the product’s carbon dioxide footprint and will ensure over 700 tonnes of packaging material is recyclable rather than going to landfill.
“We want to foster a circular economy and pursue ambition packaging targets,” added Henkel’s Head of Packaging Sustainability, Philippe Blank. “This joint development is a major step for us to further improve the recyclability of our packaging portfolio and is contributing significantly to our goal to achieve 100% recyclability until 2025.”
