This would be the perfect comfy and cozy reading nook for [small spaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/twoinone-billy-model). What separates the ‘Library’ from other [bookshelves with built-in seats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nook-furniture) is the hanging reading lamp affixed to the top of the structure. The simplistic design of ‘Library’ by Guy Eddington belies a clean design that has been executed to perfection. Through creating this three-in-one structure, Eddington was exploring the idea of personal space in combination with an adoration for literature. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.7/10 - Popularity: 43% | Activity: 59% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Compact Reading Nooks:** The trend of creating compact reading nooks that combine functionality and comfort for small spaces. - **Multi-functional Furniture:** The trend of designing furniture pieces that serve multiple purposes, such as combining bookshelves, lamps, and seating. - **Personalized Space Design:** The trend of incorporating personal space elements into furniture design, catering to individual preferences and needs. ### Where This Applies - **Furniture Design:** The furniture industry can seize disruptive innovation opportunities by creating space-saving furniture pieces that serve multiple purposes. - **Interior Design:** The interior design industry can explore creative ways of incorporating personalized reading nooks into small living spaces. - **Lighting Design:** The lighting industry can develop innovative reading lamp designs that complement compact reading nooks and enhance the reading experience. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Architectural Library Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/reading-nooks.md) - [Personality-Enhancing Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ordo-book.md) - [Book-Storing Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bookgroove-bookrack.md) - [Cabin-Shaped Reading Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/boof-reading-light.md) - [Tranquil Reading Seating](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chapters-furniture.md) - [Industrial Light-Equipped Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hidden-light-chair.md) - [Compact Functional Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bookmarker-table.md) - [Block Puzzled Book Nooks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lego-book-nook.md) - [Bookcase-Equipped Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/low-wall-side-table.md)
