This library building design encourages a love of reading real books. Although some prefer e-readers and the convenience of audiobooks, some still advocate for the real thing and analog activities in a plugged-in world. Designed by architects Mariya Aleksieva, Ibrim Asanov, Boyan Simeonov and Yuzdzhan Turgaev, Rapana Library is a seafront structure located in Varna, Bulgaria.

The [seashell-shaped library building design](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-pier-pavilion) includes [seating and shelves](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/reading-nooks) as one might expect, but a [small stage](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/library-of-light) as well and a shade. The outdoor library's designers hope the stage will lend itself to improvised music and other installations. Rapana went through 20 iterations before the final construction and is comprised of 240 different pieces of wood. It also features sustainable materials.
