# Self-Balancing Home Sweepers The Poh Liang Hock 'Standing Broom' Will Take Care of Itself By Senduran Bhakthakumaran | Published 2012-04-09 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/liang-hock-standing-broom References: [notcot.org](http://www.notcot.org/post/47252/) & [blog.leibal](http://blog.leibal.com/products/standing-broom/) No more setting your broomstick in a corner then hearing the most irritating racket as it falls to the floor when you turn your back; the Poh Liang Hock 'Standing Broom' can stand up on its own. The Malaysia-based designer has put thought into the little setbacks within the home and made it easier to store one's broom in a fashionable and worry-less way. The brush portion of the broom can be turned horizontal so that the long handle is held up with a wider base when one does not wish to be using the broom stick. This design makes it easier to leave the broom standing alone rather than having to place it in corners to collect dust or potentially fall over. The design of the broom is highly modern as well so it will work perfectly with any room. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 0.8/10 - Popularity: 9% | Activity: 8% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 10% men, 90% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Home](https://www.trendhunter.com/home) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Self-balancing Home Sweepers:** The Poh Liang Hock 'Standing Broom' introduces a self-balancing feature, disrupting the traditional broom design. - **Fashionable Broom Storage:** The Poh Liang Hock 'Standing Broom' offers a fashionable and worry-less way to store brooms, tapping into the growing trend of stylish home organization solutions. - **Modern Broom Design:** The Poh Liang Hock 'Standing Broom' boasts a highly modern design, indicating a trend towards contemporary aesthetics in cleaning tools. ### Who This Affects Most - **Home Organization:** The Poh Liang Hock 'Standing Broom' aligns with the home organization industry, offering a disruptive innovation to traditional broom storage methods. - **Household Cleaning:** The Poh Liang Hock 'Standing Broom' presents a disruptive innovation in the household cleaning industry, revolutionizing the design and functionality of brooms. - **Interior Design:** The Poh Liang Hock 'Standing Broom' taps into the interior design industry, providing a modern and stylish cleaning solution that complements any room. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Sleek-Designed Household Squeegees](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/justhang-squeegee.md) - [Display-Equipped Vacuum Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/blend-i-vacuum-cleaner.md) - [Artful Handheld Vacuum Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/handheld-vacuum-1.md) - [AI-Powered Robotic Vacuums](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dohyuk-joo.md) - [Style-Conscious Cleaning Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/everyday-cleaning-tools.md) - [Bendable Stick Vacuum Cleaners](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stick-vacuum-cleaner.md) - [Interactive Autonomous Cityscape Sweepers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/interactive-unmanned-sweeper-concept.md) - [Humorous Quick Cleanup Workstations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flip-desk-concept.md) - [Cordless Floor Vacuums](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bsty-dualaction-cordless.md)
