Instead of hanging her chandeliers from the ceiling, only to be seen when you look upward, Liana turned them into beautiful works of art encased in plexi-glass cases. This transforms the chandeliers from things of beauty into [usable coffee tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zen-collection-1); all the chandeliers are fully functional. The Paris-based artist and designer describes these pieces as her ‘calling,’ and it is easy to see that this is the case. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.7/10 - Popularity: 49% | Activity: 55% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Antique-inspired Lighting:** Opportunity to transform traditional chandeliers into innovative functional pieces. - **Furniture with Dual Functionality:** Creating coffee tables that serve as both decorative and practical pieces. - **Encased Design:** Using plexi-glass to encase and showcase unique artworks, turning them into functional pieces. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Interior Design:** Incorporating innovative lighting designs into interior spaces. - **Furniture Manufacturing:** Producing coffee tables that incorporate unique and functional designs. - **Art and Sculpture:** Exploring new ways to showcase and transform traditional artwork into functional pieces. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Optical-Illusion Home Decor Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sevval-kalaycikli.md) - [Sculptural Glass Chandeliers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tamar-grande-chandelier.md) - [Artfully Functional Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chant.md) - [Artful Coffee Table Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vertushka.md) - [Minimal Collaborative Chandeliers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/linea-selva.md) - [Jewelry-Inspired Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/through-chrome-reflections.md) - [Crystalline Gem-Like Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/soda-coffee-tables.md) - [Jewel-Inspired Chandelier Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pearl-chandelier.md) - [Leather Disc Modern Chandeliers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pell-chandelier.md)
