# Faux Floating Furniture The LeviTable by Peter Zsolt Koren Boasts Clear Plastic Legs By Meghan Young | Published 2012-11-20 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/levitable-by-peter-zsolt-koren References: [trendsnow.net](http://www.trendsnow.net/2012/11/the-levitable.html) & [hazaidesign.hu](http://www.hazaidesign.hu/termekek/butorok/asztal/levitable) The surface of the LeviTable by Peter Zsolt Koren, a designer based in Hungary and executive of Hazai Design, looks as though it is defying gravity. Although some people would like to think that the designer simply used the levitating spell 'Wingardium Leviosa' from 'Harry Potter,' the illusion behind the design is not so magical. Instead, the LeviTable by Peter Zsolt Koren rests on two pairs of legs fashioned out of [clear plexiglass](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/soda-iced-table) to give it the look that it is [floating in midair](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/floating-bench). Aside from this modern aesthetic, the piece of furniture is rather basic. It sports clean lines and a wooden tabletop made out of laminated antique walnut. Nevertheless, other sizes and colors can be used upon request. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.8/10 - Popularity: 56% | Activity: 21% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Transparent Furniture:** Creating furniture with transparent elements to give the illusion of levitation. - **Minimalist Design:** Designing furniture with clean lines and simple aesthetics. - **Customizable Furniture:** Offering options for different sizes and colors based on customer requests. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Furniture Manufacturing:** Opportunity to incorporate transparent materials in furniture design to create unique and visually appealing pieces. - **Interior Design:** Utilizing minimalist furniture to create modern and sleek interior spaces. - **Custom Product Manufacturing:** Providing customizable options for furniture to meet individual customer preferences and needs. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Floating Component Dining Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/floating-top-chair.md) - [Fabric-Like Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tablecloth-side-table.md) - [Illusory Cracked Base Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/conceptual-side-table.md) - [Shimmering Oceanic Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/liquid-table.md) - [Interlocking Puzzle-Like Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/connect-table.md) - [Hardware-Free Table Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kurt-table.md) - [Lucite Furniture Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/draga-aurel.md) - [Curvaceous Floating Illusion Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wave-collection-2.md) - [Fluid Topographic Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dune-table.md)
