# Frame-Adjusting Devices The Leveler Helps You Hang Photos Alone and Achieve the Perfect Alignment By Amelia Roblin | Published 2012-08-29 | Tech Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/leveler References: [yankodesign](http://www.yankodesign.com/2012/08/22/picture-perfected/) & [moma.gr](http://www.moma.gr/picture-perfected/) The Leveler by Amin Saadat will ensure that you won't over-think the positioning of your pictures on the wall. Hanging photos and art can turn into a tricky exercise once you've been scrutinizing their alignment for long enough. Developed by the Animation designer, this clever gadget is a corner-mounted circle with a pair of dials that takes your own judgement out of the equation. You can set it up on either the right or left top ends of a picture frame and watch as the inner ring locates a perpendicular path to the floor with a clear arrow indicator. Two other arrows can be found on the outer dial of the Leveler. These align with the first when the print is pinned up straight. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.6/10 - Popularity: 26% | Activity: 15% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Automated Hanging Systems:** Opportunity to develop devices that automate the process of hanging photos and art, removing the need for manual alignment. - **Smart Picture Frames:** Disruption potential in creating picture frames with built-in alignment technology, eliminating the need for additional devices like the Leveler. - **Ar-based Picture Placement:** Potential for using augmented reality to project a virtual grid or guide for precise picture placement, enhancing the user experience. ### Where This Applies - **Home Decor:** Innovation opportunities in incorporating alignment technologies into various home decor products, such as frames and mirrors. - **Technology:** Disruptive potential in developing smart devices and applications that assist with picture hanging and alignment using advanced technologies. - **Interior Design:** Opportunity for interior designers to explore and offer customized solutions for hanging and aligning artwork in homes and commercial spaces. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Modular Marble Photo Frames](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/memorable-picture-frame.md) - [Real-Time Angle Alignment](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/multilevel.md) - [Decorative Data-Rich Smart Displays](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-digital-frame.md) - [Picture Framing Services](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/frame-it.md) - [Sculptural Scrolling Photo Frames](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flash-back-device-concept.md) - [Landscape Photographer Camera Mounts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tripod-mount.md) - [Projected Photo Canvas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pixybeam.md) - [Miniature Photo Display Screens](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/autoheart-picpak-digital-frame.md) - [App-Connected Photo Frames](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wifi-digital-picture-frame.md)
