However, [LEGOLAND Japan](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/legoland) takes it one step further with its Guinness World Record-breaking Sakura tree that is made entirely out of the toy blocks. The gigantic LEGO-made cherry blossom weighs a stunning 7,348 pounds. The awe-inspiring structure celebrates both the upcoming spring, as well as the theme park's one year anniversary. Unsurprisingly, the structure boasts 881,470 block pieces and took nearly 6,700 hours to arrange. Redefining the way people perceive LEGO trees forever, this pink block-made Cherry Blossom inspires curiosity, creativity and provides a wonderful photo opportunity. The project will be on display at LEGOLAND Japan until the 6th of May. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.2/10 - Popularity: 33% | Activity: 85% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Gen Alpha, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Life-Stages](https://www.trendhunter.com/life-stages) > [Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/toys) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Life-size LEGO Structures:** Creating life-size LEGO versions of objects and structures which were previously only built in miniature. - **Record-breaking Sculptures:** Breaking world records with LEGO sculptures, leading to larger and more elaborate creations. - **Interactive Public Art:** Using LEGO structures as interactive public art installations which engage and delight passers-by. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Tourism and Attractions:** Using life-size LEGO structures as a drawcard to boost visitor numbers for museums, parks and other attractions. - **Retail and Marketing:** Creating LEGO sculptures for use in marketing campaigns, pop-up installations and experiential retail spaces. - **Event Management:** Using life-size LEGOs for event decor or public art installations to engage attendees. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Bonsai Building Block Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lego-botanicals-set.md) - [Botanical Garden Puzzle Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/botanical-garden-set.md) - [Botanical Building Block Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lego-orchid.md) - [Vibrant Flower Puzzle Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/botanial-collection.md) - [Japanese Castle-Themed Puzzle Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/himeji-castle.md) - [Miniature Building Block Plants](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lego-icons-tiny-plants.md) - [Resin Gravity Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-great-tree.md) - [Genealogy Building Block Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lego-family-tree.md) - [Eiffel Tower-Inspired LEGO Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/eiffel-tower-lego.md)
